I Dream Of Living With You

in God’s commonwealth of peace,

which is more than not fighting,

but certainly not less

than removing everything

that prevents us from seeing

the obvious: I am you,

and you are me.

Before we can get there,

we at least have to imagine it,

to let it take up residence in

our minds as a story

that becomes more

than a guest inside us.
